Christmas Eve Traditions

After we got back from Down Town the kids had their baths and opened thier Christmas Eve gifts. First are thier PJ's. Jaden and Bryson are Spongebob super fans. the obvious choice. Regs looks just fab in her poler bear PJ's.

Christmas Eve Traditions

Every Christmas Eve Steve has gotten the kids and myself an ornament for the tree. This year Jaden got an Airplane, Regan got a dog that looked like Diesel that we had for about a week two christmas' ago (thats another story) She loved that dog and still talks about him. And Bryson got a cool car. I did not get a pic of me with my ornament but Steve got me a soccer one since I was Jadens Soccer coach this year.

My Date With My Other Man...

This is my Bro. He called me and asked me out to a Real Salt Lake Game, and for those who have not been, it was by far the funnest sporting event I have EVER been to. It was great!
THANKS IAN!!!

This is the two teams lined up. They played the team from New York. It was the Western conference finals. We lost but it was still awesome. People would throw toilet paper, streamers, smoke bombs you name it down onto the opposing team ALL the time. they even pegged a few in the noggin. Apparently that is the thing to do. People are playing drums everywhere chanting, singing, etc. The Latinos make it the best though I have to say. We had a few around us and they had made these huge noise makers that you wind up and then spin around. They know how its done!
The half time show was a marching band ( and yes they are still around if you can believe it!) It was decent. But the game was the highlight. Here is why I think it was great:
there are 2 45 min half with a 25 min half time
during those 45 min the clock never stops. So its truly 45 min. Now if there is an injury or something they just play for few extra min at the end.
There is something always going on weather in the stands or on the field.
Even though they are low scoring games it is so intense to see them set up for a shot on goal.
I couldn't believe how much I got into it.
I think my brother was laughing at me alot because I was so involved in the game.
When they would miss my heart would hurt a bit. Great game loved it.

We Didn't Forget...

Its time for a quarterly update (haha)
First Snow of the season with the boys

Trick or Treating with my Superheros
Jaden as Batman, Bryson as Spiderman, and Regan as Wonder Woman

Regan Entered Reflections at her School and one First Place in the 3rd Grade 3-D art category. She was pumped. This pic does not do it justice. It had a sun that came off the page and was glitterized, grass made from moss the lake was made with blue plastic, the flowers came off and so did some butterfly's, the Tree was made from construction paper and fake tree leaves, and of course some cotton ball clouds. It was fun to watch her make this and see her get so excited about her art work!

Regan was in the School Choir this was at her Christmas performance.

For anyone that got my blog from this time last year will understand when I say "Here we go again." Cheer leading is in full swing with Regan. This year She is doing a Solo along with her team performance. She is working hard to get all of her Tricks down. And can't wait to do a back handspring. Hopefully soon.

Until next Quarter....
(J/K I hope to get back to this with some Christmas updates and fun things about the kids.)

Bonvoyage Good Friend

A few words to say to a great friend at this farewell moment:

We have loved they way you made us look cool and "instyle"

The way heads would turn and the looks we got when we where with you.

The way you sounded was more that we could have hoped for

The times when we were stupid and got stranded with you for hours

The money we spent to keep you looking good was never too much.

We loved coming home from a hard day and seeing you in the driveway.

The many times you put the kids to sleep for us or kept them warm.

When you shinned like a star.

How well you matched our Tahoe.

The way you smelled after a good wash.

Even when you didn't smell so good.

You have been to good to us and our hearts will be heavy as we let you go. But you will bring joy to so many others and in that we take comfort.

Good buy friend.....

Summer Fun

I have been horrible with keeping this up to date this summer. Not only that but I have sucked total rocks with even taking pictures of my kids this summer. I realized I have hardly any of Steve and I together from even our whole marriage. Holy crap. And I always start to think "I need a new camera, not just any camera but the $900 rockin' camera so that I will enjoy taking more pics", because inevitably I buy a camera and love it for the first 200 hundred pictures and then for reason I have yet to devise the pictures start looking off, the colors not as crisp, they are blurry, then the battery's don't last as long and I am charging it constantly, I don't know. I start to blame my kids because they find the camera and start taking pictures of who knows what their feet, there tongues, I have lots of pictures of the TV with Sponge Bob on. I love it. So they are probably messing around with my settings but then who knows. To sum it up I am blaming it all on my Camera and that's that.

Bryson showing us what he will look like in 5 years when he starts playing Football.
Self Portrait of Jaden

...and some more summer fun

Horray we got Jaden riding his bike without the training Wheels
Jaden got a bit closer to his dream of being a piolet when we went and saw this hilicopter. Now he is not wanting to be a helicopter piolt but a "jumbo jet" piolt in his own words. Which hey I will encourge to my last dying day because what does that mean? Thats right free flights for me!

Steve was at Lowes and they were handing out kids work safty stuff so Steve pick up these goggles for Bryson. He LOVED them and we had to see him in these for a good 2 weeks. I loved it. They were so cute and funny.
Steve and Bryson out doing some yard work.

Baptism Day

June 7, 2008

What an awesome day for us and Regan. She has been talking about this day for over a year. We had such a great expierience getting her ready for baptism. We spent alot of just one on one time with her going over the gosple and what she has learned about Christ. It was so enjoyable for us to see her have such a great love of Christ and wanting to follow his path.

Her Baptism was in the morning she and 8 of her friends sing the song "If the Savior Stood Beside Me" Regan was in her white jumper and all of her friends were in white dresses it was the cutest thing. Her Dad had the honor of Baptizing her and Confirming her. Grandpa Elmer and Grandpa Stookey were her witnesses.

We came back to the house for luch with all her cousins and friends. It was a really special day and hope one that she will remember when she gets older.

The Birthday month of May starts with Regan...

Regan Turned the big important 8 years old. She and her frineds came over had Pizza and Cake
Opened Presents

Then it was off to Boondocks for some great fun. She had a blast and loved having all of her friends there to share in her big day.

...two days later its Jadens Turn

The Big 5-0. I can't believe he is this old. We had a great day with him. He had whatever he wanted for breakfast. Luckly for me it was oatmeal. We invited his friends over for cake and pizza and headed off to the movie theater to see Kung Foo Panda. Jaden seemed to have a great time with his friends and enjoyed having all the attetion.

Football

How does the song go "A dream is a whish your hart makes..." One of Steve's greatest whishes came true this spring as he was on an official football team. The Wolverines. They play out here in Draper and had 10 season games plus playoffs which they proudly came in 2nd. Steve being the new guy played on the special teams. Punt, Punt return, kickoff, kickoff return, So he did get quite a bit of playing time. And he loved every minuet of it. It was a fun spring, lots of friends and, neighbors came out and family some even came in from outof town to give him support it was awesome.

Everythings fun and games until someone gets their eye poked out.

This is the story we are telling everyone and we are sticking to it. ;D
No for reals. Regan and Jaden were racing each other around the house and then Jaden slipped on the wood floor right into the corner of our kitchen cabinets. He started crying and I was in the other room so I came in and his eye was already swollen within seconds. It was horrible. If it had split open we would have had a mess. I got him some ice and he stayed up with me for awhile when he finally went to bed he took the ice with him, when I went to check on him later he was asleep with the ice pack still held firmly on his face.
He was so brave about it and such a cutie even with a black eye.

Josh turns 17

As I mentioned in an earlier post we have one of our nephews living with is from Seattle. His birthday was March 23 on Easter Sunday. He was bit bummed that he had to share his big day with the Easter Bunny but he was pretty good about it.
A little bit about Josh is he loves Basketball. We have found it is one of his favorite sports he can eat sleep and drink Basket ball
Another thing he loves more that life is watching ESPN' s Sports Center.
Josh it super funny. He makes us laugh all the time. He has one one of those witty Sense of humors.
He loves movies. especially anything ultra gay and with Amanda Bines in it. J/K I made him watch "She's the Man" with Amanda Bines and after he said "my gay stock just went up about 10 points." He loves action movies and especially Scary movies. He has to watch them alone.
He loves Four Wheeling. We did that in St. George and he had a blast.
He loves his Cousins. Mostly he tolerates the younger ones but he has great relationships with the ones his own age.
When he moved to Utah he gave up soda for a few weeks and lost about 13 lbs.
My cousin Staci and I made him a basket ball cake for his big day. Staci is an amazing Cake maker.
Here is Josh at his birthday party with his all his best friends. HAHA He was a good sport about having all the kids 10 and under share in his big day. He let the kids help blow or should I say spit the candles out. We made home made pizza one of his favorites. What a great opportunity we have to have Josh with us. We sure love him.

St. George

One of the days we were in St. George for Easter we went hiking around the Red Cliffs area. It is a red rock canyon with a small stream running down. Along the way the dis in the rock form pools of water. With the snow run off feeding most of them they were freezing cold but it did not stop some kids from swimming in them.

Easter 2008

My mom made the kids these awesome capes. The boys got superman ones and Regan's is a princess cape. So cute the kids love them.
We then went down to St. George for the Easter Weekend with my cousin Staci and her family. My dad was up in Salt Lake so their home was free in St. George. We had such a good time. We left the snow behind and had 70 degree weather for 5 days. The kids had so much fun with their cousins and the best part is the Easter bunny still found them.

Josh can't contain his enthusiasm.
