Christmas 2008

We are ready for church the kids always get a new outfit for Christmas church so here they are in their new clothes. Too bad it doesn't make going to church any easier.

Steve and I snuck down stairs when Santa left to see all the great things they brought for the kids and then to set out our stuff.
The After Math. It was a good year and the kids had a great time. We are always sad to see it end.

Lets see today is the 3rd and we are still trying to clean the house from Christmas.

A word for next year. Don't get Regan anything that comes with glitter. Regan decided to tell the boys about a birthday fairy that sprinkles glitter everywhere. Well the result is we have glitter everywhere through the house. Its in closets on clothes, in the carpet. Everyday when we get ready we sparkle a little bit. Its impossible to clean up. Its driving me crazy.

An Early Visit From the Big Man Himself

We had a great neighborhood party this December and while visiting and enjoying ourselves the door bell rang and who do you suppose but the "Jolly Red" himself and the lovely misses were standing at our door. They had heard we had some good little boys and girls at our house and came to share a story and give an early gift. It was great the kids loved seeing them and got a chance to remind Santa of what they want for Christmas.
Our Neighbor Steph planed the great event we had three families here at out house and then 3 families at another home we had dinner together and then meet at Stephs for a great Christmas message given by the Jan and John Clayton. As well as dessert. It was great Santa came to see the kids at our house then went to see the other half of the circles kids at the Williams home.
Bryson, Jaden, Branton, Santa, Kenna, Regan, Malia, and Tai. What a treat.

Bring it (regans 1st cheer compition)

This was the day. 9:45 we arrive at Cottonwood High School for what we are thinking will be an average dance performance. Oh no we are walking into the most girl crazed environment I have EVER witnessed in my life. Girls everywhere with hair pieces, glitter makeup, lipstick. Each team including Regans all looking idential to the other. the place was packed by 11:00 when the competition started. It was like watching the movie "Bring It On" or whatever it is.
Regan is the one in the middle front on her knees. She compete on the Mini Lv 1 there are 7 girls on their team ranging from 5-8yrs old. They competed with 6 other teams the same lv. and took 3rd, which was awesome. They were so cute they have 2 stunts (working on a 3rd) and several other dance and tumbling moves in their routine.
this was only what could fit in my camera frame. so double this amount. I hope you can imagine the high pitched screeching and screaming that went on here. My ears were ringing after and I left with the biggest head ache. For all my complaining i was a boob when reagns team when on. And she LOVED it and can't wait for the next comp. I'll admit it was fun. I secretly wished I could have done that when I was kid. :D

Its Christmas time again

Well this is the time of year when I sing in my mind a song I learned in a singing group in elementary school called "The Teddybear-a-tones" it goes a little like this Its beginning to look a lot like Christmas, everywhere you go... The kids helped me put up our Christmas trees and decorations around the house.

We finally received some snow this week. Most of it has melted, but it gave me hope for a good winter and, cross my fingers, a white Christmas.

The kids have begun their Christmas wish list to Santa. Regans this year was actually pretty reasonable. In years past she wanted everything she could think of. However, the boys have taken her place. Their list changes from day to day and from whatever commercial is on TV showing a toy or gadget of some sort. One of the boys will say "I want that" then the other one in echo repeats "I want that". I have asked Jaden what he wants, he would like a real to life Crane (the kind used to build buildings) , a Lear Jet (thats because steve said they are his favorite airplanes) a real one though, some fisherprice version will just leave him in tears thinking that we don't love him at all, among several other outlandish requests. I can't help but laugh when he keeps adding to the list. But he is too cute and of course has no idea what he is asking for he just sees it, thinks its cool, and then thinks everyone must have one, so why shouldn't he.

Its Time for skiing

Solitude opens tomorrow, and I will once again resume my employment up there. I haven't taught skiing since we had Regan so I am pretty excited to get back to that part of my life.
Reg will be up there with me on Saturdays, she will be skiing on the solitude DEVO team it is a small develemental team that teaches kids racing fundementals. She does not at all want to do it. But i remember being that way when i was her age. So i am taking her kicking and screaming for the first few times. If she still is not loving it then, well, i hope she will love it, and its just something new that is making her nervous. Hope for the best with her.

Halloween

This is Regans Halloween Party at her school they had a little parade throught the halls and then a party with her class. She of course was a half angel half devil, Jaden was a fighter piolet, and bryce was buzz lightyear. They all had a great time out trick-or-treating. Regan went with a group of her friends from the neighborhood, and mom got to take the boyz around.

The first day of 2nd grade Jaden came to the bus stop for moral support. Regan has Miss Watts and loves her she want to be a teacher just like her.

After great frustration with attempting a web site for our family, I have been convinced a blog is the way to go. This is something that we are excited about and hope everyone has a good time checking in on our family from time to time, and see whats up.
